Many elements of the play are timeless, and that is because Federico Garcia Lorca understood human nature and the suffering of existence. The poster should also reflect this.
The design was inspired by the concept of the make-up. The director's idea was to make the life disappear from the faces through the make-up. The older a woman is, the paler she becomes.
The poster is designed for both languages, Greek and German. The large letters, very close to each other, represent suffocation, chaos, lack of freedom and privacy. There is no space to breathe.
The shrillness and narrowness of the vowels represent the lack of expression and the existence of the own voice.
The poster fades out gradually, as does every single life in this house.
